A 2mil overtone control ring on the underside controls excessive overtones, promotes a shorter sound, and equalizes tuning. The addition of small vents around the perimeter of the dry version eliminate additional overtones and create a more focused sound. From the Manufacturer Evans 12" Genera Dry single-ply snare head produces a warm tone with a fat and focused attack and minimal sustain.
